First Throw(@wSniff

To begin this weblog, I express
the direction. I am a user
of a Japanese collective BBS named "2ch", which distinguishes the heaviest access in the current field in the world. The 2ch showed a quite interesting function in Japan, namely as
the medium of secret information
or that of real voices among
Japanese society out of the sift
and riddle of Mass Media's information censorship. This role was based on its anonymity, namely the absence of record about the IP addresses that could identify the poster.
However, recently the 2ch announced its IP-address recording and the advantage of anonymity is abolished at present, which caused expulsion of posters contributing secret information as the deep throats. Of course the posting without handle name in 2ch is even now possible, but the poster's IP-address is recorded. The anonymity in this sense is the absence of identifiability by way of IP-addresses.
Obliteration of anonymity in the sense of untraceability deprived the 2ch of its savor. The noname postings have simply
become redundancy, full of Ascii
Arts(the picture drawn with Ascii code:http://aa5.2ch.net/mona/).

This weblog features the events and news around the 2ch and the Japanese internet scenes.
